Stress is a very common word nowadays. Everybody is so indulged in their works that they tend to have a lot of stress. Be it a student who is constantly studying for getting good grades or be it an adult doing his/her 9-5 job to earn their living. Having goals is good, but not living your life because of it, is not something good for your mental and physical health. Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. Stress is your body’s reaction to a challenge or demand. In short bursts, stress can be positive, such as when it helps you avoid danger or meet a deadline. Use stress as a positive thing and avoid negative stress.
A boy who used to take a lot of unnecessary stress. He was a brilliant dancer but because of his stress and low confidence, he couldn’t participate in the competitions. His parents also supported him. He didn’t want to take part in any kind of competition. After all, he thought that he has to earn money for his family because his family was not well to do family. Though his parents never stopped him from dancing, they only asked him to stay away from the bad and negative company. Along with dancing, he was working in a call center.
He took a lot of work stress because of which he couldn’t concentrate on either, dancing as well as work. His performance in both the things started to deteriorate. He never let his parents know about his situation. He tried to cope up with it alone but failed miserably.
Later on, he realized that it was only making him worse. He consulted a doctor who gave him some relaxants to calm him down and also gave him a diet to follow.
He continued with the doctor’s advice for four months. He actually saw a lot of change in himself. He started to take less stress. He could now give his hundred percent in dance as well as work. As time passed by, he gained confidence and self-esteem. He then started participating in various dance competitions. Initially, he didn’t win but eventually, he won a lot of dance competitions. Once, he was confident that he could make his career in dance, he left his call center job and practiced a lot to make his dream come true. Due to all of this, he started to be happier also. His parents said that they had forgotten his laughter because he used to be very stressed out due to workload. Well, now the family is very happy and proud of the boy. He is now a successful dancer and choreographer.
He is an inspiration for all the kids out there who take a lot of unnecessary stress. His story can help those kids to fight it and come back stronger and even happier. Never stop believing in yourself. Always give your best even if you fail a hundred times. You’ll always grow with the number of failures. Never give up on yourself.
